About Great Lakes Productions
and the
Mr. Gay Indiana Contest
Gay Society had, for many, many years, neglected
the importance of contests to select an "All-American"
gay male, who not only excels in talent, but self-expression
in mannerisms and ideals.
With this in mind, we have brought you Mr. Gay
Indiana. We believe that ALL of our representatives;
past, present, and future; are and will be; individuals, homosexual
males, who are proud of their masculinity; and who have an ability
to present themselves as an image and model of excellence in
both homosexual and heterosexual worlds!
We believe that the man selected each year as
Mr. Gay Indiana will have a challenge in building the gap of
understanding in modern society, that our country is rich with
gay men and women with intelligence, talent, strong work ethics,
morals, the spirit to succeed, and most importantly, the need
to be heard and recognized. Although the selection has never
been an easy task, we feel confident that each new Mr. Gay Indiana
will continue in the tradition set before him, as a symbol of
pride, excellence, and progress, through determination.
The Mr. Gay All-American Contests offers gay men
the opportunity to showcase their talents and abilities in a
competitive format. Contestants must demonstrate excellence
in a number of categories,
and must convince a panel of qualified judges that they are
the best suited to be the spokesperson and role model who will
promote the contest's values of individuality, diversity, and
acceptance throughout their year as the national title holder.
We salute the previous
winners of the Mr. Gay Indiana Contest. The brave and talented
men who have competed for and honored with the title of Mr.
Gay All-American.
